Tri-Cities Airport began 2020 encouraging travelers to “Get Out There.” Once it became clear that COVID-19 had other plans for the travel industry, our team helped craft a new message designed to target the latest travel trend, “isolation travel.” With countless outdoor activities in sparsely populated locales, our region is the perfect getaway destination for adventure travelers looking to escape bigger cities, in particular Orlando, Florida. With this in mind, our team partnered with TRI to create and place the airport’s first reverse marketing campaign encouraging travel to our region rather than from it.
